Scotia Sea

A part of Scotia Sea is in the Southern Ocean and the other part is in the Atlantic Ocean. It is surrounded by Drake Passage on the west.

The Sea's coverage area is approximately 900,000 km. it is named after the Scotia, the mission ship used by the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition under William S. Bruce.

Tierra del Fuego, Burdwood Bank, Staten Island, Shag Rocks, Black Rock, South Georgia, Clerke Rocks, South Sandwich Islands, South Orkney Islands are situated on top of the Scotia Ridge, which borders the sea on the north, east, and south.
