It connects the Atlantic through Davis Strait, and the Arctic through several narrow canals of Nares Strait. The bay is a northwestern extension of the North-Atlantic and Labrador Sea.Wildlife: About 120,000 Beluga whales (eating small fish and crustaceans) live in Baffin Bay.
