Norwegian Sea
The Norwegian Sea is a portion of the North Atlantic Ocean that lies northwest of Norway and is situated between the North Sea and the Greenland Sea.
To the west it connects the North Atlantic Ocean and to the northeast it connects the Barents Sea. It is divided by an underwater ridge that runs between Iceland and the Faroe Islands from the Atlantic Ocean, in the southwest. The Sea is separated from the Greenland sea by the Jan Mayen Ridge to the North. Nordic Seas refers the Norwegian Sea and the Greenland Sea together.
