The Visayan Sea is a sea located in the Philippines; it is bounded by the islands of the Visayas, Eastern Visayas to the east and Western Visayas to the west, while the Central Visayas is located to the south. It is surrounded by the islands Masbate to the north, Cebu and Negros to the south, Leyte to the east, and Panay to the west.
The Visayan Sea is connected to the Sibuyan Sea to the northwest via the Jintotolo Channel, the Camotes Sea to the southeast, the Bohol Sea to the south via the Taņon Strait the Samar Sea to the northeast, and the Sulu Sea via the Guimaras Strait and Panay Gulf. Bantayan Island is the largest island.
